Here are some frequently asked questions. If you have any other questions - please get in touch.
Yes. We will provide a contract in the name of your limited company and it will be paid to the associated business account. If you do not have a limited company, we will pay you as an individual. Under these circumstances, it is your responsibility to notify HMRC about the income you are receiving from us.
Compliance is a mandatory requirement. Non-compliant individuals will be stopped from claiming shifts until the have been approved. From start to finish the process takes on average 1 week; however, the speed is entirely up to you. If you have the relevant documentation to hand and engage with our compliance system, this can take a matter of days.
Provided the documentation is current, you do not need to go through this process again; however, some of the documentation has an expiry date and will need to be updated before expiration. Provided you are actively working with us. you will receive notification emails from our compliance system when your documentation is approaching expiry. If you are moved "off the bench"/reactivated following a period of inactivity, everything you previously provided will still be associated with your profile and you will receive a notification to update any expired documents. Examples of this are Statutory & Mandatory Training, Right to Work and DBS.
All our clinical staff are employed by their limited company or have registered with HMRC. TSC does not deduct the tax from your payment and it is your responsibility to declare your income on your tax return or directly to HMRC.
We run the payroll on the Friday following your shift. You will be sent a remittance advice for your records. Please do not query your payment until the the Saturday after you have worked your shift.
Standard practice is that we do not employ clinical staff to work for TSC for the same trust you are employed by. Under certain circumstances, the trust will request this and TSC will make an exception. Our preference is to source staff that come from adjacent trusts that are not experiencing similar pressures. This way we can ensure that we are not solving problems in one trust at the expense of another.
